LANAP® Laser Gum Treatment

One of Dr. Crapo’s treatments for periodontal disease is LANAP® Laser Gum Treatment. This Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure uses pulses of laser light to remove bacteria and diseased tissue while preserving healthy tissue. It can eliminate bacterial buildup, close gum pockets, and even facilitate tissue regeneration. Like so many other modern techniques offered at our clinic, this treatment has minimal pain and reduced bleeding and swelling compared to traditional treatments. It also offers faster recovery.

LAPIP® Laser Gum Treatment

Another minimally invasive oral tissue treatment offered in our clinic is LAPIP® Laser Gum Treatment. It removes diseased tissue from failing dental implants, eliminates infection, and reduces pain around implants without cutting or bone grafting. Compared to traditional surgical methods, LAPIP® offers less downtime, minimal bleeding, and faster recovery while helping to protect your implant.

Chao Pinhole® Gum Rejuvenation

When gum recession causes sensitivity or pain, Dr. Crapo can perform a minimally invasive procedure called the Chao Pinhole® Gum Rejuvenation or Pinhole® Surgical Technique (PST). This involves making a tiny hole in the gum tissue and using specialized instruments to gently reposition the gums over receded areas without cutting or sutures. It causes less discomfort and offers a quicker recovery compared to traditional gum grafting techniques. As an added benefit, there is an instant cosmetic improvement to your gum line.

IV Sedation for Comfortable Dentistry

If you are nervous, anxious, or scared about a restorative dentistry procedure, IV sedation can help. Our dentists are trained and certified to offer this effective pain-management option. It allows for a deeper level of sedation than oral sedatives and is particularly useful for lengthy or complex procedures. In our restorative dentistry practice, we offer tooth-coloured composite fillings to repair decayed, chipped, or fractured teeth. They bond directly to the tooth structure and therefore do not require the dentist to remove as much healthy tooth material as for amalgam fillings. Composite fillings are durable, aesthetically pleasing, and can be completed in a single visit.
